Ready to give roller derby a go? Come along to our first intake for 2018!

Are you keen to be part of a physically and mentally challenging sport where you can be competitive, make a bunch of instant friends and be part of the wider derby community! 
Then come and skate with Tweed Valley Rollers

WHERE: Epic Skate Rink, Tweed Heads, NSW 

WHEN: Thursday 15th Feb 2018

START TIME: Arrive 7.00pm NSW (6.00pm QLD) to be on the rink ready to skate at 7.30pm NSW.(6.30pm QLD)

BRING: $15.00 session fee + $3 for skate hire - they are available from the rink if you need them. Please bring cash as TVR do not have Eftpos and there isn't an ATM at the rink. Don't forget your socks, a water bottle & your smile.

WE PROVIDE: Protective gear and helmets (first in first served) & more fun than you've had in ages.

SKILLS REQUIRED: None! We will teach you everything you need to know (yes even the wall huggers). Although Learn to Skate classes are a good idea. They are on at Epic on Saturday mornings.

Rookie sessions are non contact. We do let you learn the ropes before anyone tries to knock you over. :-)

WHO CAN JOIN?
Men and women above 16 years of age. (If you're under 18 you'll need to have a parent or guardian give permission.)

If roller derby is not a sport you see yourself playing but you would like to be  involved, we welcome volunteers and Non Skating Officials (training provided) and we can also mentor you as a Referee.
Refs are on skates but generally only cop accidental contact by out of control skaters occasionally....... 😃
